LANGO (NORTHERN UGANDA)
Lango is a non- traditional coffee-producing area increasingly promoted for commercial agriculture. Lango encompasses nine districts including Lira, Otuke and Alebtong. Over 100 coffee farmers are located in Lango covering around 200 hectares. Robusta coffee beans primarily Nganda and Erecta varieties are mostly produced in Lango. Notable coffee cooperatives in Lango include the Lango coffee farmers’cooperativ.
