KILIMANJARO AND ARUSHA 

Kilimanjaro is famous for high –quality Arabica beans with bright and fruity profile. Arabica beans grow on the volcanic slopes of the Kilimanjaro Mountain. (BREWNO specialty coffee) The Mount Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions in northern Tanzania form the core of the country’s highland coffee belt. Grown on the fertile volcanic slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru (1,200–1,900 m), these Arabica coffees develop dense beans with bright acidity, balanced flavor, and floral, citrus, and chocolate notes. Cultivated mainly by smallholder farmers, especially the Chagga people, coffee here is shade-grown and intercropped with banana trees, promoting biodiversity and soil health. The harvest season runs from July to December, and beans are typically washed Arabicas, prized for their clean cup and lively profile. Together, Kilimanjaro and Arusha produce some of East Africa’s most distinguished specialty coffees, sought after by roasters worldwide.
